Huaycoloro Landfill



Huaycoloro is the first private landfill in Peru. Located in the San Antonio district of the province of Huarochirí.

It is equipped with the latest technology for the receiving, handling and final disposal of solid waste received at the plant for 24 hours a day.

Other specific areas of the plant, are developing 2 projects of national importance: a) The CDM, following the Kyoto Protocol agreements, to reduce the effects of greenhouse gas, methane CH4, and "destroying" CO2, which is 21 times less harmful, and b) the first plant in the Pacific coast for electricity generation from biomass.

Huaycoloro is, as is known, monitored annually by a committee of experts from the World Bank to ensure that our operations optimally meet the highest standards of quality in the world.
