Draft Electricity Generation from Biogas

In February 2010, SAC PETRAMAS got the bid to supply electricity for 20 years the Peruvian government for a total of 28,294.80 MW per year within the framework of the "FIRST AUCTION FOR ELECTRICITY WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES (RER) ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (SEIN) "conducted by OSINERGMIN with the aim of using renewable energy (clean) to ensure the country's energy security.
In this new project pioneered PETRAMAS, biogas is used on platforms Huaycoloro landfill for electricity generation, for which the station will install a modern automated biogas cleaning, installation of a modern central 4.8MWh Generation , a control room, substation 480V voltage rise to 22.900 V, a transmission of 5.5 km and a reception for substation networks inter connection with SEIN.
This project will start operations on July 1, 2011, bringing the Huaycoloro landfill becomes a waste management model for Peru and one of the few in Latin America to use technology to ensure the safety and environmental care country's energy.
